The Ruffugees Foundation is a volunteer run federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit. We began in 2017 in the State of Virginia.

Our work funds municipal and county animal shelters in the United States in an effort to lower and prevent the euthanasia of shelter pets.

The euthanasia of shelter pets in the United States alone tops 1.5 million animals a year. This means there is a lot of work to do. As an organization we love animals and we do not miss an opportunity to help out where we can. Our goal is to end the euthanasia of shelter animals based on space and medical needs. We further this goal by funding shelters in need so they can intake, care for, and ultimately transport or adopt out the animals at their facilities.
